Key responsibilities & impact

Design and support modern enterprise data and analytics solutions
Work with large, complex datasets in enterprise environments
Support modernization of data platforms and architectures
Develop scalable approaches to data integration, analytics, and management
Collaborate with cloud, engineering, application, architecture, and program teams
Support advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives
Develop technical documentation, architecture designs, analytical models, and recommendations
Support development of scalable data platforms and advanced analytical capabilities
Support a large-scale federal data and technology modernization initiative for the U.S. Census Bureau

Requirements

What you’ll need

Lead Data Scientist – SME: PhD – required
Lead Data Scientist – SME: 15+ years of relevant experience – required
Senior/SME-level data science experience
Advanced experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and advanced data analytics
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), MLOps, LLMOps, large-scale data analytics, and Census data analytics particularly valuable
Senior Data Architect – Senior: 10–14 years of relevant experience
Senior-level enterprise data architecture experience
Experience designing and supporting complex enterprise data environments
Experience with Enterprise Data Lakes, Apache Iceberg, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, Oracle 19c/RAC, and knowledge graphs particularly valuable
Cloud Big Data certification preferred
Cloud Data Analytics certification preferred
Lead Data Scientist candidates must have both a PhD and 15+ years of relevant experience
