About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership for purchasing, planning, inventory management, and logistics functions across multiple regions
- Partner with leaders across global operations to develop scalable processes, optimize costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure efficient movement of materials and products worldwide
- Balance customer needs, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency while supporting long-term business growth
- Oversee global supply chain functions and departments through subordinate managers
- Oversee supply chain objectives and policies
- Ensure issues regarding new and existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Ensure costing for new and existing products is maintained
- Oversee Master Schedule review of past performance data to forecast needs and production levels
- Oversee product acquisition, distribution, allocation, and delivery worldwide
- Direct allocation of materials, supplies, and products
- Develop strategies to manage cost, sourcing, and transportation time
- Review departmental functions and identify areas for improvement
- Lead and direct the work of others
- Oversee budgets and regulate spending
- Manage month-to-month expenditures
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments
- Hire, orient, train, and manage performance and career development of department personnel
- Formulate, implement, and review ISO procedures
- Maintain reporting on department activities
- Monitor departmental efficiency and make improvements
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of comparable experience in increasingly responsible positions in supply chain management
- Demonstrated experience in various supply chain departments
- Demonstrated experience in cost reduction
- 5-7 or more years previous supervisory experience in supply chain management
- Expertise in a variety of supply chain concepts, practices and procedures
- Familiarity with employment law
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of company policies
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivation and leadership skills
- Ability to travel globally
- Professional judgment and decision-making ability
- Ability to influence outcomes, develop high-performing teams, and navigate complex business challenges
