About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set product strategy and roadmap for Core Seller, including Shop Manager, the Seller App, external APIs, and new AI tools
  • Work directly within the team to ship product changes
  • Manage and coach a team of 3 product managers
  • Connect the product managers' work into one approach to AI tools
  • Build organizational visibility into work in progress and its status
  • Partner with Seller Growth and Inventory leads
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research to understand seller needs
  • Decide where AI tools should and shouldn't be used in keeping with Etsy's commitment to keeping commerce human
  • Collaborate with peer leads and senior leaders across the business
  • Drive prioritization, testing, learning, and shipping for high-impact opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with both hands-on product work and managing a product team
  • Experience with small businesses or marketplace sellers
  • Interest in learning sellers' needs through research
  • Ability to judge when deeper research is needed versus when a faster test will do
  • Experience building and general curiosity for agentic AI tools
  • Judgment about where AI tools should and shouldn't be used
  • Experience with a product spanning multiple surfaces, such as web, mobile app, and API
  • Resume required; cover letter optional
  • Candidates should be based within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office, or be willing to travel occasionally if outside the commutable distance
