About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute directly to projects and shape technical direction
- Perform engineering and development work
- Guide colleagues in technical decisions

Requirements
What you’ll need- Familiarity with BigQuery, Iceberg, and cloud storage at scale
- Experience writing and tuning sophisticated SQL queries for data exploration and analysis
- Ability to guide architectural direction while being receptive to feedback
- Strong communication skills for influencing stakeholders across teams and leadership levels
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working with a diverse range of roles and departments
- Interest and experience mentoring and growing other engineers
- Flexibility with languages and tools and willingness to learn as necessary
- Ability to work within commuting distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn office or travel occasionally to the office if remote
