Key responsibilities & impact

Own Conversations and Co-Creation product design at Etsy
Design buyer-maker collaboration experiences for custom products
Define and design new experiences and improve existing ones
Collaborate closely with engineering, research, analytics, marketing, and product management
Design polished, interactive prototypes
Launch experiments, evaluate performance, and iterate
Present work to peers and leadership for feedback
Participate in weekly design critiques, workshops, and squad meetings
Document design processes and decisions
Collaborate with engineering to build designs to specification

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of professional experience working in product design
Strong understanding of design fundamentals, including visual hierarchy, interaction design, brand, and design systems
Experience designing native iOS and Android apps
Familiarity with platform-specific interaction patterns
Ability to create superior, systematically maintained designs meeting Etsy visual design standards
Effective articulation of ideas and design solutions
Self-directed leadership and ability to guide peers and drive cross-functional impact
Ability to give and incorporate feedback clearly
Ability to translate quantitative and qualitative insights into design decisions
