About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, ensuring compliance with corporate deadlines
- Review account reconciliations, provisions, accruals, reclassifications, and other significant journal entries
- Ensure the integrity of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare and review financial statements and accounting information for corporate reporting
- Ensure the proper application of CPC/IFRS standards and the Group’s accounting policies
- Analyze significant accounting variances and support the identification of inconsistencies in results
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal procedures, and corporate guidelines
- Coordinate the execution and documentation of internal controls related to accounting processes
- Identify accounting risks and propose corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure the traceability, documentation, and appropriate approval of accounting transactions
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses to requests and implementation of action plans
- Partner with Tax, Treasury, Controlling, Procurement, Operations, and other business functions
- Oversee the accounting processes for fixed assets, inventory, costs, revenue, expenses, provisions, and intercompany transactions
- Support the correct accounting classification of transactions from their source, reducing manual adjustments and reclassifications
- Monitor the accounting impacts of significant transactions, new contracts, and changes to operational processes
- Support alignment among accounting, management, and corporate information
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate accounting processes
- Participate in digital transformation projects and accounting close optimization initiatives
- Support improvements to processes and controls performed in SAP, preferably S/4HANA
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the quality and efficiency of accounting processes
- Promote initiatives to reduce manual entries, rework, and post-close adjustments
- Explore the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence tools to increase the productivity and reliability of information
- Coordinate the activities and priorities of the accounting team, ensuring quality and compliance with deadlines
- Provide technical guidance to professionals, fostering skills development and the dissemination of best practices
- Assign responsibilities and monitor activity execution
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Active registration with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC)
- Solid experience in corporate accounting, preferably in multinational or large companies
- Experience with accounting close, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, and corporate reporting
- Advanced knowledge of CPC and IFRS standards
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Knowledge of internal controls, governance, and auditing
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience coordinating activities and providing technical guidance to teams
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Accounting, Controllership, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Advanced English for interaction with international corporate teams (preferred)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
- Experience in industrial, agribusiness, mining, chemical, or fertilizer companies (preferred)
- Knowledge of industrial costing, inventory, and fixed asset processes (preferred)
- Experience with automation projects, Power BI, and data analytics tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of intercompany transactions and accounting consolidation (preferred)
