About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage clinical trial programs/projects from one or multiple clients with a Director and/or Senior Director of Clinical Data Management
Provide day-to-day technical and operational leadership to project teams
Manage client accounts and perform client relationship management
Serve as a Principal level Lead Data Manager for individual clinical trials or programs of clinical trials
Lead data management teams and interact with clients and/or internal project leaders to plan and implement data management project plans
Generate and deliver quality data management deliverables
Mentor and develop staff members and project team members with oversight responsibilities
Review data management deliverables and provide review comments to ensure team performance and quality delivery
Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and staff evaluations
Participate in data management project budget planning, tracking, and reporting
Develop and manage data management resource plans and assess and control resource utilization
Integrate Clinical Data Management operations with other functional service teams
Assist with competitive benchmarking of clinical data operations
Participate in planning, developing, and maintaining Clinical Data Management governing documents
Contribute to investigating, establishing, and implementing new systems, standards, and procedures
Participate in interviewing and evaluating job candidates
Assist in business development, including cost estimates, project proposals, bid defense meetings, and professional trade shows

Requirements

What you’ll need

A B.Sc. or higher in Biological Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics or Mathematics
Eleven (11) years’ related experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the systems, programs, and operations required to collect, store, QC, and process clinical data
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage medical information and organize and integrate the activities of information processing personnel
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with personnel on all professional and administrative levels
Ability to contribute to the investigation and implementation of new systems
Ability to lead and direct the development and implementation of new standards and procedures to improve the effectiveness of the data management process
Ability to participate in and contribute to corporate efforts in establishing and implementing new systems and standards (preferred)
