About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead Evergen's Global Operations Engineering organization
  • Establish engineering capabilities, talent, systems, standards, automation, and technology roadmap
  • Lead engineering strategy across U.S. manufacturing facilities while partnering with operations in Germany
  • Oversee global process and manufacturing engineering, packaging engineering, capital projects, and engineering governance
  • Lead technology transfer, design transfer, process validation, and equipment qualification
  • Drive automation, digital manufacturing, and AI-enabled engineering solutions
  • Lead capacity planning, manufacturing scalability, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement
  • Develop engineering talent and succession planning
  • Lead multi-site operational excellence initiatives and cross-functional product launch support
  • Drive manufacturing reliability, process robustness, product quality, launch readiness, and operational efficiency
  • Report directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations
  • Drive large-scale capital investments and manufacturing modernization initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Packaging, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, process, or packaging engineering within medical device, pharmaceutical, biologics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including responsibility for managers and geographically distributed technical teams
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-site engineering strategy, capital programs, process validation, design transfer, technology transfer, and cross-functional product launches
  • Experience operating effectively in a global, matrixed organization and collaborating across cultures, time zones, and functional reporting relationships
  • Experience developing and implementing use cases in AI and Digital Automation
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Lean certification, Project Management Professional certification, or equivalent operational excellence and project-delivery training preferred
