About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support program managers, energy specialists, contractors, and customers regarding energy efficiency utility programs
- Process projects through completion while adhering to program requirements
- Confirm information accuracy by interacting with internal and external customers, contractors, and program staff
- Verify energy-efficient product eligibility for incentives using database research
- Work with subject matter experts to review project inspection reports
- Update and maintain organized project tracking records and reports with detailed status notes
- Respond to contractor, customer, and program staff inquiries by chat, email, and telephone
- Communicate with program participants and stakeholders to collect necessary project information
- Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
- Participate in occasional travel as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Reliability, attention to detail, responsiveness, and accurate and timely communication

- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to process and procedural changes and thrive in an ambiguous or changing environment

- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and respond quickly to short-notice requests
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Adobe Acrobat skills
- Experience with Salesforce and Monday.com is a plus
- Proficiency with general office equipment
- Proficiency in basic math
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to use databases for reports and accurate data entry
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, or significant coursework completed, or equivalent experience
- Experience in the energy efficiency industry and/or utility incentive programs preferred
- Two or more years of work experience in a technically focused, administrative, or customer service role
- Previous experience working in a CRM, project management software, or Salesforce database
- Previous experience managing multiple customers and programs across multiple locations
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Solid internet connection
- Dedicated and fully equipped home office for public- or client-facing virtual meetings
- Reliable phone
- Occasional availability for evening and early morning meetings and events
- Occasional 1–2-day travel may be necessary
