About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and process multi-state bi-weekly payroll runs, including entering time and validating payroll before transmission
- Process payroll adjustments, including retros, benefit adjustments, referral bonuses, incentive awards, commissions, and headset refunds
- Process stop payments, direct deposit reversals, and direct deposit returns
- Validate, process, and fund off-cycle manual checks
- Reconcile taxes and earnings to ensure accurate tax forms
- Provide daily assistance to HR associates
- Prepare special reports for management
- Maintain accurate payroll records and confidentiality of record content
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree or the equivalent of a minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in payroll
- Thorough knowledge of common company and departmental practice and procedures related to payroll activities
- Previous payroll processing experience using Workday
- Solid understanding of domestic and international payroll and payroll tax laws
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work individually and within a dynamic team while maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimum supervision while being involved with a variety of systems, technologies and different business areas
- Must be able to work overtime, holidays and weekends when required
