About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and coordinate Transmission programs and budgets
  • Identify, initiate, and prioritize projects for one-year and five-year Capital Budget Plans
  • Work with Engineering, Project Management, and Cost Estimating to develop project scope, cost, and schedule
  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams and present alternatives analysis and project approval justifications
  • Develop operational strategies for transmission and substation asset utilization, lifecycle planning, and risk analysis
  • Analyze Transmission system reliability, including goal setting, reporting, and System Operations Review Committee activities
  • Develop and issue transmission system performance measures
  • Facilitate creation and maintenance of the Transmission asset database
  • Implement and support tri-state asset data collection and management processes
  • Analyze asset data to support asset management strategies and equipment replacement programs
  • Communicate the Asset Management strategy internally and externally as necessary
  • Facilitate Transmission and Substation benchmarking efforts
  • Identify best practices and opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee development of asset strategies, tools, and procedures for managing Transmission assets
  • Respond to emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
  • 0–3 years related experience is required
  • Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with power-related software is preferred
  • Engineering design experience preferred
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
