About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain hands-on experience in the energy industry as an Engineering Intern

  • Work with experienced engineering teams on substation design, protection and control, telecommunications, substation technical engineering, transmission lines, capital projects, system planning, distribution engineering, or grid modernization
  • Support safe, reliable, and resilient electric transmission and distribution systems
  • Participate in acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, construction, maintenance, operations, and grid modernization activities depending on assignment
  • Respond to emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, or location if required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current student/intern candidate for an engineering internship
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering for Substation Design Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Substation Technical Engineering, and Grid Modernization
  • BS in Civil Engineering for Transmission Line Engineering
  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering for Capital Projects Engineering and System Planning
  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar for Distribution Engineering
  • Must not require immigration-related sponsorship to start employment with Eversource
  • Must be interested in working in Eversource’s New Hampshire locations
