About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the Team Leader, Regulatory Financial Analysis, in developing and preparing financial analysis and regulatory compliance support
Prepare or review financial analysis and regulatory compliance support for transmission contract revenue requirements and rate design
Develop financial and regulatory support for transmission-related service and support agreements
Provide financial and regulatory support for competitive transmission solicitations and strategic transmission development initiatives
Support negotiating, administering, and billing transmission-related contracts on behalf of Eversource electric operating companies
Support regulatory financial projects as necessary
Collaborate with key business areas on transmission-related regulatory financial activities
Keep the Team Leader informed of issues, impediments, and progress
Respond to emergency situations outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location when assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience in utility regulatory finance, accounting, or a related field required
Strong knowledge of finance, utility accounting and regulation
Experience in regulatory financial concepts such as revenue requirements and rate making theory is desirable
Financial modeling experience is preferred
Aptitude to draw sound business conclusions, act decisively and drive business results
Ability to direct multiple and competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strategic mindset and ability to see the big picture and provide effective direction
Focus on innovation and willingness to challenge the status quo
Self-motivated, attention to detail and strong desire to learn
Master’s degree preferred
CPA or industry specific designation(s) preferred
Applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed
