About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and oversee Third-Party Attachment activities and Double Pole processes across Massachusetts within Eversource territory
- Supervise and lead the Single Pole Administration team
- Coordinate activities among internal and external stakeholders, engineering and construction forces, attachers and joint owners
- Supervise third-party attachment requests, including company qualification and licensing-fee processing
- Resolve make-ready work, attachment, billing and fee issues with outside companies
- Negotiate agreement issues with outside companies
- Oversee equipment shifting and double-pole removal
- Manage application, rental, joint-line billing and make-ready/true-up fees
- Perform system administration and data-quality checks for attachment records
- Prepare DPU documents and performance reports
- Track program costs, fee revenue, applications, delinquencies and annual costs
- Serve as liaison between Third-Party Attachment System users and Information Technology
- Provide oversight for related administration, including MassDOT
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and monitor program success
- Track industry trends, best practices and technologies
- Select, coach, manage and develop staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of ten (10) to twelve (12) years of related experience required
- Supervisory and leadership experience required
- Experience in Energy Delivery, including distribution engineering, joint utility work, interaction with telephone and other utilities, program management or administration, billing-related customer/company interaction, scheduling requirements and regulatory commitments
- Thorough knowledge of electric distribution systems and equipment
- Extensive knowledge of Third Party and Distribution activities within the electric utility industry
- Knowledge of local, state and national codes, regulations and policies governing electric-system construction
- Working knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, database creation and management
- Ability to create ad hoc reports from databases
- Project coordination skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be available for emergency restoration assignments
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
- Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed
- Must be able to work effectively with organizational and external stakeholders
- Strong written, spoken and presentation communication skills
- Extensive analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to initiate and manage change
