About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the group providing leadership, tools, and systems for planning and scheduling complex electric power infrastructure projects for the Transmission Organization
  • Oversee project planning and scheduling throughout the full project life cycle
  • Track and report monthly project performance against schedule milestones
  • Ensure schedule network logic, critical paths, schedule risk identification, and schedule forecasting accuracy
  • Prepare complex reports and analyses supporting projects and the capital program
  • Streamline and enforce Primavera scheduling processes across the Transmission Organization
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Assign work, provide training, resolve problems, evaluate performance, and recommend personnel actions for Planners, Schedulers, and Analysts
  • Coordinate schedules with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Contract Administration, Procurement, Materials Management, and Construction Vendors
  • Oversee schedule analytics, reports, variances, baselines, change control, cost loading, trends, progress measurement, KPIs, and project statistics
  • Identify and assess scheduling risks and conflicts across projects, ROW corridors, and substations
  • Manage stakeholder capital program and project-level reporting
  • Develop, coach, and improve the Planning & Scheduling team through onboarding, training, and continuous learning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree will be considered
  • 10 to 12 years of related experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, accountant, or financial business analyst in a business managing large complex multi-year projects is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Oracle’s Primavera software and Unifier Project Controls or other project management information systems is highly desirable
  • 3–5 years of prior managerial experience is highly desirable
  • PMP preferred
  • Must be available to work emergency storm assignments as required
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to recognize and work with sensitive and confidential information
