About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver on-site and field-based physical therapy services focused on injury prevention, early discomfort screening, ergonomic risk reduction, and safe-work education
- Provide ergonomic coaching and non-diagnostic screening for employees reporting discomfort associated with work tasks or physical demands
- Support injury-prevention efforts and refer employees when clinical evaluation may be appropriate
- Provide ergonomic observations and task-design recommendations to Safety, Operations, and management personnel
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, OSHA recordkeeping, workers’ compensation, ADA, and related legal requirements
- Coordinate with Safety representatives when medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, work restrictions, or fitness-for-duty determinations are needed
- Conduct ergonomic field assessments in industrial, field, and office environments
- Identify physical risk factors related to posture, repetition, force, vibration, and material handling
- Recommend workstation adjustments, task redesign, and tool or equipment considerations
- Lead group-based mobility, stretching, and movement preparation sessions
- Design and implement programs aimed at reducing common occupational injuries
- Develop and deliver educational presentations and training on ergonomics, injury prevention, and musculoskeletal health
- Collaborate with safety and management teams to identify trends and address injury risks
- Track participation, outcomes, and trends to inform program effectiveness
- Maintain documentation of ergonomic activities, observations, coaching activities, and safety recommendations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently in field-based and on-site environments
- Graduate from a CAPTE accredited physical therapy program
- Hold an active, unrestricted New Hampshire Physical Therapy License
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
- Must be available to travel throughout the state of NH to all the Area Work Centers and substations
- Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered
- Experience in industrial, occupational, or field-based settings (Preferred)
- Familiarity with ergonomics or workplace injury prevention programs (Preferred)
