About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate, design, and manage process improvement initiatives to enhance Eversource resource performance
Lead assigned process improvement and business process initiatives by defining scope, developing project plans, engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts, and driving initiatives through completion
Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes
Develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements
Collect and analyze process data to recommend business practices and procedures focused on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced costs
Document business processes using BPMN 2.0 standards within SAP Signavio Process Modeling
Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop accurate current-state and future-state process models
Lead cross-functional teams on complex process improvement engagements and facilitate process analysis and future-state design workshops
Identify and implement enhancements to policies, procedures, instructions, and systems
Analyze process gaps using observations, data collection, data analysis, process analysis, and communication with management and frontline staff
Measure current-state process and system effectiveness and benefits from implemented enhancements
Identify issues and root causes; develop improvement strategies and implementation and sustainment plans
Develop findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review and approval
Apply continuous improvement tools and operating discipline to drive initiatives to positive outcomes
Manage initiatives with minimal oversight, including coordinating resources, managing schedules, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and driving implementation and measurement
Develop and maintain tools, applications, and systems critical to process improvement initiatives
Develop tools and leverage technology to share relevant information, reduce recurring process defects, and improve personnel mindset
Develop action plans and processes to integrate activities and optimize department resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to influence without direct authority
Expertise and working knowledge of process improvement methods, internal controls implementation, change management leadership, and root cause analysis techniques
Self-motivated and goal oriented; ability to independently scope, plan, organize, and drive process improvement initiatives with minimal supervision
Willingness to learn and integrate new processes and technologies
Strong process elicitation and interviewing skills
Strong facilitation and communication skills, including written, oral, and public speaking
Ability to develop structured workshop agendas and lead cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate and interact with stakeholders at all levels of authority
Aptitude and curiosity for learning and implementing new tools and technology
Strong knowledge and experience in process mapping and documentation using BPMN 2.0 standards
Ability to apply business process modeling standards, conventions, and governance requirements
Extensive experience in process modeling and analysis; knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP Signavio Process Modeling preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in process improvement, business process management, or a related discipline, including experience leading complex process improvement initiatives
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
