About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic ESMP transmission and substation projects from early-stage development through handoff to the Project Management Organization
  • Oversee cross-functional project teams across System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Real Estate, Legal, Project Management, Engagement, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and other stakeholders
  • Establish and organize ongoing development plans
  • Vet strategic solutions consistently with Company safety and procurement policies and programs
  • Develop early-stage project schedules and budgets with appropriate departments and implement them before execution
  • Support development and documentation of Company Policies for strategic transmission project development and execution
  • Collaborate internally and externally to advance strategic transmission projects
  • Track project-level and ESMP program progress and develop success metrics with the Manager and Director
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, alignment, and information exchange
  • Represent Eversource Transmission on committees, groups, associations, public meetings, regulatory hearings, town halls, and special meetings
  • Brief the Manager and Director regularly on responsibilities, project development status, and action items
  • Coordinate with System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Real Estate, Engagement and Equity, Regulatory, Procurement, Legal, Scheduling, and later-stage Project Management
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, or location when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  • Project management experience required
  • Ability to develop and present reports within the organization
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Ability to work across permitting, engineering, real estate, interconnection, finance, and community engagement
  • Understanding of onshore development of electric infrastructure projects, such as solar or wind
  • Ability to integrate multidisciplinary early-stage project development information and make timely decisions
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to varied internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in ongoing learning and process improvement
  • Interest in advancing Massachusetts’ electrification, clean energy, and climate goals
  • Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects and knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license is required
  • Must be available for emergency restoration assignment as required
  • Must be able to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Must be able to work five days in the office if needed or if policy changes
