About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor, maintain and report on budgets, contracts and financial issues for Eversource transmission projects
- Obtain implementing information and recommendations to meet project goals and influence project direction
- Perform cost forecasting, monitoring and control activities
- Prepare cost performance and productivity reports
- Analyze supporting data, report variances and conduct special studies
- Evaluate and report the cost impact of scope and productivity changes and recommend corrective actions
- Assist Project Managers with project cost, cash flow and budget evaluations throughout the project life cycle
- Perform monthly project forecasting using bids, scope changes, invoices, internal labor, contractors, materials and equipment
- Provide project and program management cost analysis reports to Project Managers, Engineering and Plant Accounting
- Reconcile project costs to establish accurate historical project data
- Prepare un-vouchered liabilities so financial impacts are properly reflected in company financial statements
- Respond to emergency situations, including assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours and location
Requirements
What you’ll need- Baccalaureate degree in business, accounting, engineering or related area, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of cost engineering experience
- Strong analytical skills for evaluation of estimates, budgets, cash flows, plans and schedules
- Knowledge of cost and schedule specification requirements
- Knowledge of contract administration techniques, types of contracts and contract applicability
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with management, project management and support personnel
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports using written, oral or graphical means
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
