About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage multiple low- and medium-risk transmission projects concurrently, owning project scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage all project phases, including planning, execution, control, and closeout
- Secure approvals for permits and licenses, budgets, materials, contractors, and other resources
- Monitor and report project management metrics for quality, technical specifications, reliability, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate internal and external resources and timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Determine project assignments, timetables, and responsibilities of project team members
- Monitor project progress, milestones, changes, costs, and resource adjustments
- Provide comprehensive project status reports and ensure documentation complies with company policies, regulations, and laws
- Manage assigned segments or tasks of large or high-profile projects
- Support project managers and senior project managers on high-risk projects and professional development
- Travel regularly to Cambridge to support the Greater Cambridge Energy Project
- Respond to emergency situations outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location when assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred); Business, related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) - five (5) years of experience in electric utility construction or project management experience
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical application of project management techniques and tools, including project management software
- Knowledge of design and construction of electric transmission and distribution facilities and equipment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required
- Applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed
- Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered
