About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage large, complex transmission projects in New Hampshire in a multi-external-stakeholder environment
  • Ensure approved projects are completed efficiently, within scope, on schedule, and within budget
  • Coordinate with Transmission Asset Management, Transmission Planning, Design, Land Planning, Construction and Test, Finance, Regulatory Relations, Legal, and Purchasing
  • Represent Eversource as expert witness for ISO-NE CSC and other regulatory evidentiary proceedings
  • Manage team member performance and develop employees through leadership and developmental behavior interaction techniques
  • Coordinate regulatory approvals and interface with regulators, local elected officials, and town department managers
  • Manage development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design, and construction
  • Manage procurement of materials and support systems
  • Ensure projects are documented and completed according to company policies, regulations, and laws
  • Own project scope, schedule, and budget for high-risk, large, complex projects
  • Present written and oral information to senior management, governmental agencies, and outside organizations
  • Prepare written responses for local, state, and federal regulatory proceedings
  • Lead Eversource representation at municipal, homeowner, and interested-party meetings
  • Provide guidance to less experienced personnel and develop organizational capabilities
  • Identify team member expectations and performance standards and provide timely feedback
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, hours, or location when called

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of Project Management or related experience, or demonstrated competencies commensurate with Project Manager II experience
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required
  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles and practices
  • Very high standards of professional and project management competence demonstrated through experience
  • Leadership, teambuilding, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Ability to schedule, plan and manage numerous complex transmission projects concurrently
  • Ability to represent Eversource professionally at municipal meetings
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, writing, listening, persuasion and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze project information, determine facts, identify underlying issues, and make sound recommendations and decisions
  • Ability to interpret information and consider Corporate and Transmission Business strategic plans
  • Ability to assess team member abilities and motivational levels and adapt leadership styles
  • Must be available for emergency restoration assignments
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
  • Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed or if the hybrid policy changes
