About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and maintain performance measurements, reports, and analyses for corporate and business-area leaders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements through analytical solutions and reports
  • Develop data solutions, tools, reports, and processes aligned with strategy across multiple regions and companies
  • Implement data solutions following industry best practices and security standards
  • Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to electric operations and performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for KPI communication
  • Review, analyze, and consolidate data from disparate sources using SQL queries and custom tools
  • Collect, organize, update, and assure the quality of performance data and collection tools
  • Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of management, including the Senior Leadership Team
  • Research best practices and performance comparisons, including benchmarking and company-sponsored surveys
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational efficiency
  • Respond to emergency restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the electric or energy industry
  • Proficiency in Power BI for report development and data visualization
  • Working knowledge of information technology systems
  • Ability to create/manage Power BI reports and use Power Query, DAX, SQL, Python or similar programming languages
  • Experience writing SQL is strongly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and produce accurate work
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • At least 5–8 years of related experience
  • Driver's license required
  • Must be available for emergency restoration assignments
  • Must be available to travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary
  • Applicants must not require immigration-related sponsorship
  • Must be able to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and up to five days in the office if needed
