About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, monitor, and report on financial and schedule project controls metrics for the regional department in Massachusetts
Collaboratively develop comprehensive strategies for advancing projects
Develop and monitor internal KPIs and analytics
Prepare external communications and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Build stakeholder relationships with other teams
Coordinate with Project Controls, Project Performance, Investment Planning, Accounting, and Scheduling
Assist Managers and Directors with annual budgeting and Long-Range Planning for CAPEX and PIS
Develop and maintain a system of record for project status, schedule, and financial performance
Provide regional portfolio status reports for monthly workplan meetings and periodic report-outs
Provide financial guidance for project-level forecasting
Identify and organize department risks and track mitigation plans and progress
Coordinate between project management and eBuilder on formal project records and project assignment requests
Identify department training needs and develop or facilitate training with subject matter experts
Provide financial management training and mentorship to new employees
Meet regularly with management regarding financial action items, forecasts, budgets, variances, and future forecasting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Math, or related experience
Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of related experience
Excellent technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
Ability to develop and present reports within the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
Familiarity with the utility industry required
MS Office proficiency and MS Excel expertise required
General understanding of FERC and/or New England state energy regulation desirable
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed or if policy changes
