About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement new systems and features
- Modify and maintain existing systems to adapt to business and technology changes
- Engage with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to deliver technology solutions
- Drive software change and release management processes
- Assist with improving the maturity of the software development lifecycle
- Ensure software deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
- Manage moderately sized projects or processes
- Serve as a subject-matter expert within the discipline
- Coach, review, delegate work to, and mentor lower-level professionals and engineers
- Influence policies, practices, and procedures

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience
- Advanced to expert knowledge of the work area
- Knowledge of ESRI / ArcFM GIS
- Knowledge of ESRI UN
- Python coding
- ArcGIS Pro
- ArcGIS Portal
- Ability to independently scope and implement larger user stories
- Ability to handle open-ended problems and ambiguity
- Ability to make well-reasoned software design decisions
- Ability to navigate and maintain legacy code
- Deep expertise in one or more areas
- Ability to elevate testing practices
- Ability to define engineering patterns and canonical examples and address technical debt
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to ensure documentation exists for critical systems
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
- Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary
