About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Lead implementation, configuration, and optimisation of SCM and production-related functionalities
- Work with the Production module, including production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, capacity planning, and production scheduling
- Analyse and improve manufacturing workflows and end-to-end production processes
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with developers on customisations, integrations, and technical enhancements
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration, and go-live activities
- Provide functional support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements
- Work closely with stakeholders, key users, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 6 years of professional experience in production and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Strong functional expertise in SCM, particularly in production
- Hands-on experience with the Business Central Production module is mandatory
- Experience with project-related functionality or the Project Management module is mandatory
- Good technical understanding of Business Central, including customisations, extensions, and integrations
- Fluent German and good English communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 1–2 days per week in the office in Germany or Switzerland
