About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high quality geological data that supports resource growth and strategic mine planning.
- Contribute to safe and successful drilling programs across resource definition and near mine exploration activities.
- Apply orebody knowledge and geological interpretation to help identify and prioritise drilling opportunities.
- Maintain robust geological databases, sampling records and QAQC processes to ensure confidence in resource data.
- Collaborate with geology, technical services and drilling partners to improve geological understanding across the operation.
- Support the development and refinement of 3D geological models that inform operational and strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance geological processes and outcomes.
- Report to the Senior Project Geologist.
- Work an 8:6 residential roster with 12-hour day shifts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geosciences.
- At least 2 year's experience in an operating mine or active resource stage exploration environment.
- Experience supporting or managing drilling programs, preferably involving diamond drilling.
- Strong geological logging and interpretation skills across lithology, structure, alteration and mineralisation.
- Experience with geological data collection, validation and QAQC processes.
- Proficiency with geological logging and 3D modelling software such as Leapfrog, DataShed or LogChief.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
