About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coordinate and support a team of maintenance professionals
  • Safely deliver planned and breakdown maintenance activities
  • Drive equipment reliability and fleet availability to support operational targets and minimise downtime
  • Work with Supervisors and Planners to execute maintenance schedules and manage daily priorities
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to develop team capability and performance
  • Monitor work quality and ensure maintenance tasks meet site standards and best practice
  • Facilitate shift handovers and complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Promote safety through visible leadership, hazard identification and risk management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations
  • Build working relationships across maintenance, operations and contractor teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of S26 examination and associated risk modules
  • Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade Qualification
  • Previous experience maintaining underground mining mobile equipment
  • Demonstrated leadership or Leading Hand experience within a mining maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of planned and breakdown maintenance practices
  • Experience coordinating work crews and prioritising maintenance activities
  • Solid understanding of safety systems and risk management processes
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • S1, S2, S3 (or equivalent frontline management qualifications) highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement and operational excellence
