About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver accurate survey data supporting safe and efficient underground operations
- Perform survey set out, heading mark-ups and project support for mine development
- Contribute to void management and ground movement surveys
- Coordinate short- and longer-term project work with Operations and Geology
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, survey procedures and future ways of working
- Use drones, LiDAR, point cloud modelling and advanced digital survey tools
- Work within the Technical Services team and report to the Senior Mining Surveyor
Requirements
What you’ll need- A recognised Surveying qualification (TAFE, Diploma or tertiary)
- Experience working in underground mining or a similar surveying environment
- Exposure to modern survey instrumentation and digital survey practices
- Experience with, or interest in developing capability in, Deswik software
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Australian working rights
- Desire to continue growing your career in mining
- Ability to work an 8:6 roster
- Ability and willingness to work underground
