About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and process mineralogy samples for XRD and SEM analysis
- Support mineralogical testing that informs operational and technical decisions
- Deliver high-quality laboratory work safely and efficiently
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory
- Develop specialist knowledge through structured training and mentorship
- Work closely with the experienced mineralogy team supporting the Northparkes operation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in laboratory, mineral processing or sample preparation environments
- Knowledge of sample preparation techniques such as crushing, splitting, milling or pulverising
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
- The ability to work collaboratively within a close knit team
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Certificate IV or higher in Laboratory Techniques (highly regarded)
- Experience with XRD, SEM or mineralogical analysis (highly regarded)
- Experience working within mining, mineral processing or metallurgy environments (highly regarded)
- Exposure to LIMS or laboratory data systems (highly regarded)
