About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic sourcing activities that deliver value across the operation
- Influence major commercial decisions through tendering and evaluation processes
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across site and corporate teams
- Negotiate contracts that support operational performance and long-term success
- Drive sourcing strategies that deliver supplier performance and commercial outcomes
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within Supply and Commercial
- Report to the Supply Superintendent
- Work across multiple spend categories and contract portfolios
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in procurement, sourcing, contracts or commercial management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Tendering and contract management experience
- High level analytical and commercial thinking capability
- Strong Microsoft Office and spreadsheet skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions
- Mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or operational environment experience highly regarded
- Exposure to category management frameworks highly regarded
- Pronto or similar ERP system experience highly regarded
- Qualifications in Procurement, Business, Commerce or Law highly regarded
