About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex injury management and workers compensation cases through to successful recovery outcomes
- Partner with leaders, employees and medical providers to develop effective recovery at work plans
- Provide trusted advice on injury management, workers compensation and fitness for work matters
- Monitor claims performance, identify trends and deliver insights that improve outcomes and reduce costs
- Coach leaders and strengthen organisational capability in injury management and return to work practices
- Drive continuous improvement across injury management systems, procedures and governance
- Support employees through recovery and help achieve safe, sustainable return to work outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant qualifications in occupational health, rehabilitation, allied health, nursing, workers compensation, human resources or a related discipline
- Current SIRA NSW Return to Work Coordinator training (or recognised equivalent)
- Significant experience managing workplace injuries, workers compensation claims and recovery at work programs
- Demonstrated capability managing complex and high-risk cases independently
- Strong working knowledge of NSW workers compensation and associated legislative requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills
- A current unrestricted driver's licence
- Experience within mining, heavy industry, construction or another safety critical environment will be highly regarded
