About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver structural capital and sustaining projects improving safety, reliability and operational performance across site
  • Develop practical engineering solutions from concept through execution
  • Lead contractors, consultants and project teams to deliver work safely, on schedule and within budget
  • Provide technical guidance and support across structural engineering projects and operational improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, infrastructure reliability and engineering standards
  • Strengthen engineering team capability through technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering structural, infrastructure or industrial engineering projects from concept through to execution
  • Experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing, energy or a similar environment
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and contractor management capability
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering compliance requirements
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect
  • National Engineering Registration or eligibility for Chartered Engineer status (nice to have)
  • Experience in structural steel design, inspection, remediation or integrity management projects (nice to have)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and financial project evaluation (nice to have)
