About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Champion survey data quality, QAQC and governance across the operation
  • Provide trusted technical guidance supporting operational and planning decisions
  • Mentor and develop Survey Technicians
  • Drive improvements in survey systems, workflows and technologies
  • Support a safe, high-performing mining environment through accurate and reliable survey outcomes
  • Combine field-based surveying with data quality, mentoring and continuous improvement
  • Report to the Senior Mining Surveyor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Surveying (associate degree or higher)
  • Experience in mine surveying, ideally within an open pit mining environment
  • Strong capabilities in QAQC, survey data validation and data management
  • Proficiency with Deswik and modern survey technologies
  • Experience with GNSS, RPAS and photogrammetry methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical disciplines
  • A proactive mindset focused on safety, improvement and excellence
  • 8:6 residential roster
