About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely operating underground service trucks and support equipment
- Transporting and delivering explosives, emulsion and blasting accessories in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements
- Delivering ground support consumables including bolts, mesh, resin and other development materials to active work areas
- Supporting underground logistics and materials movement activities to ensure development schedules are achieved
- Conducting pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks
- Maintaining accurate records relating to explosives and materials handling
- Assisting with stock management and materials distribution underground
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently reside within the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes
- Current "HR" Class Australian Drivers Licence – Desirable
- Forklift Ticket - Desirable
- Working at heights certification or ability to obtain
- Security clearance to handle explosives or ability to obtain
- Strong commitment to safety as a way of work
- Well developed Literacy and Numeracy skills
