About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in design activities to meet contract deadlines and design schedules
- Prepare technical design solutions, technical plans, and written project documentation
- Request the design theme when it is missing from the contract or terms of reference
- Provide technical documentation to checkers and participate in technical checks
- Evaluate material and workmanship quality, implement QA/QC procedures, and verify shop drawings
- Prepare and present subcontractor bid requests
- Communicate with subcontractors, monitor delivery deadlines, and check documentation against terms of reference
- Conduct field visits and resolve technical or schedule issues with remedial solutions
- Prepare external interim reports and participate in the technical solution
- Maintain relations with the Beneficiary, subcontractors, local administrations, utility owners, external verifier, and involved institutions
- Support interim and final approvals and notices
- Hand over projects to the Beneficiary and participate in execution monitoring
- Keep up to date with new technologies and design methods
- Participate in preparing technical offers
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical / Engineering degree
- 3–5 years of experience in Romania in design and monitoring is an advantage
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, and dedicated design software
- Strong sense of responsibility and high ethical standards
- Teamwork and decision-making ability
- Confident, clear, and polite verbal communication, including active listening
- Fluent Romanian
- Good spoken and written English is an advantage
- Ability to work with subcontractors, verifiers, the Beneficiary, local administrations, utility owners, external verifiers, and involved institutions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information
