About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the infrastructure vision and roadmap across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
Lead complex migrations with minimal downtime
Run discovery with clients’ Security, Network, SRE, and FinOps teams
Present architecture trade-offs in terms of risk, availability, cost, and complexity
Design networking, identity and access, storage, and Kubernetes compute
Design Airflow-orchestrated Spark workloads
Ensure secure-by-default platforms with HA/DR and tested RTO/RPO targets
Own decisions on encryption, audit logging, data residency, and retention
Build reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and GitOps pipelines
Create self-service blueprints for engineering teams
Optimize total cost of ownership through right-sizing, storage tiering, and reserved/spot strategies
Set standards through design reviews, ADRs, and reference architectures
Mentor engineers and architects
Take architecture from discovery to production by designing and deploying the platform
Run proofs of concept to de-risk new patterns
Work directly with clients in telecommunications, finance, and investment management

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering
3+ years as an architect or technical lead
Hands-on experience deploying cloud and on-premises infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and end-to-end networking
Deep expertise in hybrid network design, including segmentation, private endpoints, VPNs, and zero-trust
Expertise in identity and access, including IdP/SSO, LDAP/AD, RBAC/ABAC, and secrets management
Experience architecting AWS or Azure environments, including landing zones and IAM
Strong knowledge of object, POSIX, and HDFS storage systems
Knowledge of provisioning, securing, and scaling Snowflake, Redshift, Hive/Impala, and PostgreSQL data platforms
Track record designing HA/DR solutions with tested RTO/RPO
Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD, including GitLab CI and ArgoCD
Proficiency with observability tools including Prometheus and Zabbix, and SLO-based operations
Ability to explain trade-offs to executives and engineers and write clear architecture documentation
