About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, maintain, secure, and evolve Exaktera’s core IT infrastructure across multiple international sites
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and operational coordination to local IT teams
Drive consistency, resilience, standardization, security, and reduction of operational risk across the region
Contribute to group-wide IT transformation initiatives
Consolidate company domains, Microsoft 365 tenants, Entra ID, and identity management into a common group architecture
Implement group-wide cybersecurity controls, including MFA, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response
Support the introduction of a global IT service desk with common tooling, SLAs, processes, and shared documentation
Define, document, and regularly test disaster-recovery and business-continuity arrangements for critical systems
Support standardization of ERP systems, core business applications, data, and reporting across the group

Requirements

What you’ll need

VMware vSphere administration in production environments
Windows Server administration
Veeam Backup & Recovery
Enterprise networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing concepts, and CLI-based switching
Sophos firewall administration, including policy management and VPN basics
Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration
Active Directory consolidation
Identity, MFA, and SSO integration concepts
Incident response collaboration with MDR providers, e.g. Arctic Wolf
Experience evaluating and implementing infrastructure improvements across multi-site environments
Strong technical decision-making and risk assessment capabilities
Experience in manufacturing or regulated IT environments
Multi-site or post-acquisition IT integration experience
NinjaOne or similar RMM tooling
PowerShell automation
SharePoint / Microsoft 365 migrations
ERP system operational support; Business Central preferred
Independent, structured, and reliable working style
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
Clear technical communication skills
Ability to mentor and support less-experienced IT staff
Calm and methodical approach during incidents
Documentation-driven mindset
Fluent English
German desirable but not essential
