About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Service and promptly respond to inquiries from clients and representatives regarding questions, report status, concerns, and information requests
- Enter and retrieve client or claimant information using appropriate systems and databases
- Maintain daily contact with the QA department regarding workflow and pending report status
- Contact providers for assignment and update databases
- File and archive open and closed cases
- Verify client information and document client-specific guidelines and rules in the system
- Work independently and with team members to address questions, document cases, and return cases promptly
- Direct calls to other departments as needed
- Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading
- Assist with customer complaints and quality assurance issues
- Notify management of report issues or concerns
- Ensure practices comply with state and federal safety and legal regulations
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Paralegal experience in the state of Florida
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one-year clerical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone operation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
- Ability to be trained on and adhere to HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
- Ability to follow management instructions accurately
- Accuracy, thoroughness, responsibility for quality, and initiative to identify improvements
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and use time efficiently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to stay focused under normal or heavy distractions
- Ability to work well under pressure or stressful conditions
- Ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Monday to Friday availability, 8:30am–5:00pm EST
