About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define appropriate biomarker measurement strategies and identify suitable CROs or internal laboratories
  • Lead implementation and execution of biomarker assay plans from preclinical stages through clinical development
  • Define and ensure the appropriate Fit-for-Purpose analytical validation strategy for biomarker assays
  • Provide scientific expertise on genomics, proteomics, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry
  • Collaborate with project teams, CROs, and stakeholders to ensure successful assay development and delivery
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging biomarker technologies and analytical methodologies
  • Contribute to biomarker strategy discussions and support cross-functional decision-making
  • Ensure biomarker activities align with development timelines and project objectives
  • Drive biomarker assay implementation from late research stages through Proof of Concept (PoC) and beyond

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PhD in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Physiology, or a related scientific discipline
  • Strong experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Proven experience supporting biomarker assay strategies and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of genomics, proteomics, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry
  • Expertise in Oncology, Neurology, or Immunology/Inflammation
  • Experience working with CROs and external scientific partners
  • Understanding of biomarker assay development and validation strategies
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
