About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical guidance to payroll administrators on payroll, HR and social security reporting matters
- Monitor social and regulatory developments and distribute practical summaries
- Review or arbitrate complex or high-risk cases
- Monitor the quality and reliability of payroll processing
- Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates and procedures
- Represent EXCO Avec on the EXCO network’s payroll committee
- Contribute to the business development of the payroll and HR services team
- Respond to tenders and present the payroll and social services offering to clients and prospects
- Identify opportunities for additional payroll and HR assignments
- Represent the firm with external partners
- Contribute to developing the payroll and social services offering
- Monitor workload and alert the partners in the event of capacity constraints
- Propose adjustments to scheduling and case allocation
- Contribute to continuing training and the professional development of payroll administrators
- Participate in the recruitment of payroll administrators by providing technical expertise
- Maintain a portfolio of technically complex payroll accounts
- Participate in payroll and social security contribution audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in payroll management, human resources or an equivalent field
- A completed BTS/DUT qualification combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered
- At least 5 years’ experience in payroll administration
- Significant experience in an accounting firm or in an environment covering multiple collective bargaining agreements
- Previous experience as a technical supervisor, subject-matter expert or internal trainer is a strong advantage
- Expert knowledge of employment and social security legislation, social security reporting (DSN) and URSSAF audit procedures
- In-depth knowledge of several collective bargaining agreements
- Excellent command of one or more payroll software platforms (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
- Good understanding of business development and client relationship management in an accounting firm
- Influential leadership and the ability to build consensus without direct managerial authority
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively
- Customer-service mindset and an interest in business development
- Diplomacy and the ability to work with multiple partners
- Thoroughness, reliability and the ability to manage priorities during peak workloads
