About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the highest-level technical point of contact for payroll, HR, and social security reporting matters
  • Monitor social and regulatory developments and provide teams with an operational summary
  • Review or arbitrate complex or high-risk cases
  • Oversee the quality and reliability of the firm’s payroll processing
  • Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates, and procedures
  • Represent EXCO AVEC on the EXCO network’s payroll committee
  • Contribute to the business development of the payroll and HR services department
  • Respond to tenders and present payroll and HR service offerings to clients and prospects
  • Identify opportunities for additional payroll and HR assignments
  • Represent the firm to external partners
  • Contribute to the development of the payroll and HR service offering
  • Monitor the payroll department’s workload and alert the partners as needed
  • Recommend adjustments to schedules and case allocation
  • Contribute to ongoing training and the professional development of payroll administrators
  • Participate in the recruitment of payroll administrators by providing technical expertise
  • Manage a portfolio of technically complex payroll accounts
  • Participate in payroll and social security contribution audits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in payroll management, human resources, or a related field
  • A BTS/DUT-level qualification combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll management
  • Significant experience in an accounting firm or in a multi-collective-agreement environment
  • Previous experience in technical supervision, serving as a subject-matter expert, or internal training is a strong advantage
  • Expert knowledge of employment and social security legislation, social security reporting (DSN), and URSSAF audit procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of several collective bargaining agreements
  • Excellent command of one or more payroll software solutions (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
  • Good understanding of business development and client relationship management in a professional services firm
  • Influential leadership and the ability to build consensus without direct managerial authority
  • Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly
  • Client-service orientation and an interest in business development
  • Diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with multiple partners
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities during periods of high workload
