About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the highest-level technical point of contact for payroll, HR, and social security reporting matters
  • Monitor social and regulatory developments and provide teams with actionable summaries
  • Review or arbitrate complex or high-risk cases
  • Oversee the quality and reliability of the firm’s payroll production
  • Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates, and procedures
  • Represent EXCO AVEC on the payroll committee of the EXCO network
  • Contribute to the division’s business development activities, including tenders, commercial proposals, and meetings with clients or prospects
  • Identify opportunities to expand complementary payroll and HR services
  • Represent the firm before external partners on payroll and HR matters
  • Contribute to developing the payroll and social services offering
  • Monitor the payroll department’s workload and alert the partners as needed
  • Recommend scheduling and case-allocation decisions
  • Contribute to ongoing training and the professional development of payroll administrators
  • Participate in recruiting payroll administrators by providing technical expertise
  • Manage a portfolio of technically complex payroll accounts and participate in payroll and social security contribution audits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in payroll administration, human resources, or a related field
  • A BTS/DUT qualification combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years of payroll administration experience
  • Significant experience in an accounting firm or a multi-collective-agreement environment
  • Previous experience as a technical supervisor, subject-matter expert, or internal trainer is a strong advantage
  • Expert knowledge of employment and social security legislation, social security reporting (DSN), and URSSAF audit procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple collective bargaining agreements
  • Excellent command of one or more payroll software systems (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
  • Good understanding of business development and client relationship management in an accounting firm
  • Influential leadership and the ability to gain buy-in without direct line-management authority
  • Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly
  • Customer-service orientation and an interest in business development
  • Diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with multiple partners
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities during periods of high workload
