About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the highest-level technical reference for payroll, HR, and social security reporting matters
  • Monitor social and regulatory developments and provide teams with actionable summaries
  • Review and make decisions on complex or high-risk cases
  • Oversee the quality and reliability of the firm’s payroll processing
  • Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates, and procedures
  • Represent EXCO AVEC on the EXCO network’s payroll committee
  • Contribute to the payroll and HR department’s business development activities, including tenders, commercial proposals, and client or prospect meetings
  • Identify opportunities for additional payroll and HR services
  • Represent the firm before external partners on payroll and HR matters
  • Contribute to the development of the payroll and HR service offering
  • Monitor the payroll department’s workload and alert the partners in the event of an imbalance
  • Recommend scheduling and case-allocation adjustments
  • Contribute to ongoing training and the professional development of payroll administrators
  • Participate in recruiting payroll administrators by providing technical expertise
  • Maintain a portfolio of technically complex payroll accounts and participate in payroll and social security contribution audits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in payroll management, human resources, or a related field
  • A BTS/DUT qualification combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years of payroll management experience
  • Significant experience in an accounting firm or in a multi-collective-agreement environment
  • Previous experience as a technical supervisor, subject-matter expert, or internal trainer is a strong asset
  • Expert knowledge of employment and social security legislation, social security reporting (DSN), and URSSAF audit procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple collective bargaining agreements
  • Excellent command of one or more payroll software platforms (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
  • Good understanding of business development and client relationship management in an accounting firm
  • Influential leadership skills and the ability to build consensus without direct managerial authority
  • Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively
  • Customer-service orientation and an interest in business development
  • Diplomacy and the ability to work with multiple partners
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to prioritize during peak periods
