About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the highest-level technical point of contact for payroll, HR, and social reporting matters
- Monitor social and regulatory developments and provide teams with concise, actionable summaries
- Review and arbitrate complex or high-risk cases
- Oversee the quality and reliability of the firm’s payroll processing
- Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates, and procedures
- Represent EXCO AVEC on the EXCO network’s payroll committee
- Contribute to the commercial development of the payroll and HR services department
- Respond to requests for proposals and contribute to commercial proposals
- Present the payroll and HR services offering to clients and prospects
- Identify opportunities for additional payroll and HR engagements
- Represent the firm with external partners
- Contribute to the development of the payroll and HR services offering
- Monitor the payroll department’s workload and alert the partners when necessary
- Recommend scheduling and case-allocation decisions
- Contribute to continuing education and the professional development of payroll specialists
- Participate in the recruitment of payroll specialists
- Maintain a small portfolio of technically complex payroll accounts
- Participate in payroll and social contribution audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s to master’s degree in payroll management, human resources, or a related field
- A BTS/DUT qualification combined with substantial relevant experience will also be considered
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll management
- Significant experience in an accounting firm or in a multi-collective-agreement environment
- Previous experience in technical supervision, serving as a subject-matter expert, or internal training is a strong advantage
- Expert knowledge of employment and social legislation, social reporting (DSN), and URSSAF audit procedures
- In-depth knowledge of multiple collective bargaining agreements
- Excellent command of one or more payroll software platforms (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
- Good understanding of commercial considerations and client relationship management in an accounting firm
- Influential leadership skills and the ability to build consensus without direct managerial authority
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively
- Customer-service orientation and an interest in business development
- Diplomacy and the ability to interact with multiple partners
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities during peak periods
