About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the final-level technical expert for payroll, HR, and social reporting matters
- Monitor social and regulatory developments and provide teams with an operational summary
- Review or arbitrate complex or high-risk cases
- Monitor the quality and reliability of payroll processing
- Design and distribute standardized internal tools, templates, and procedures
- Represent EXCO Avec on the EXCO network’s payroll committee
- Contribute to the division’s business development activities
- Respond to requests for proposals and contribute to commercial proposals
- Present the payroll/social services offering during client or prospect meetings
- Identify opportunities for additional social services engagements
- Represent the firm with external partners
- Contribute to developing the payroll and social services offering
- Monitor the payroll department’s workload and alert the partners in the event of an imbalance
- Recommend scheduling and case-allocation adjustments
- Contribute to ongoing training and the professional development of payroll administrators
- Participate in recruiting payroll administrators by providing technical expertise
- Maintain a portfolio of highly technical payroll accounts and participate in payroll and social security contribution audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s to master’s degree in payroll management, human resources, or an equivalent field
- A BTS/DUT qualification combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll management
- Significant experience in an accounting firm or a multi-collective-agreement environment
- Previous experience in technical supervision, as a subject-matter expert, or as an internal trainer is a strong advantage
- Expert knowledge of employment and social legislation, social reporting (DSN), and URSSAF audit procedures
- In-depth knowledge of multiple collective bargaining agreements
- Excellent command of one or more payroll software solutions (Silae, Sage, Cegid, etc.)
- Good understanding of business development and client relationship management in a professional services firm
- Influential leadership and the ability to build buy-in without direct managerial authority
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge effectively
- Strong customer-service orientation and interest in business development
- Diplomacy and the ability to work with multiple partners
- Rigor, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities during periods of high workload
