About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain reusable automated test scripts, libraries, and utilities primarily using Python
Integrate automated test coverage, validation gates, and health checks into CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code for functional, integration, regression, and system testing across Exegy products
Develop understanding of financial markets, trading systems, market data platforms, and high-performance software environments
Explore developer-assistance tools and modern AI platforms such as Claude and Gemini for test generation, log analysis, and diagnostic workflows
Participate in team code reviews, sprint activities, and technical discussions
Document test results, framework usage, and bug reports clearly and concisely

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong foundational knowledge and hands-on experience using Python through coursework, personal projects, research, or prior internships
Exposure to C++ or Linux environments is a plus
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong desire to replace manual testing with reliable, repeatable, and maintainable automated code
Basic understanding of object-oriented design, version control (Git), and writing reusable code components
Interest in learning about financial technology, trading systems, market data, and the broader SDLC
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and clear verbal/written communication in a team-oriented environment
