About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for the Group’s IT operations
- Manage the IT estate, networks, and infrastructure, including workstations, peripherals, licenses, servers, networks, and virtualization
- Build and maintain an inventory and mapping of the IT estate
- Manage the hardware lifecycle, including renewals, decommissioning, and backup stock
- Monitor contracts, subscriptions, and licenses
- Diagnose TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DHCP, and VPN networks
- Provide first-level support for network equipment
- Operate and optimize the ticketing system, including qualification, prioritization, and SLA management
- Provide on-site user support across all locations
- Produce activity reports covering request volumes, request types, and recurring pain points
- Operate backup systems and conduct regular restoration tests
- Handle incidents through to closure and analyze the root causes of recurring incidents
- Apply patches and manage user accounts and access permissions
- Maintain the processing register, monitor data retention periods, and handle data subject rights requests
- Apply the Group’s IT policies and charters on a daily basis
- Formalize operational processes, including onboarding and offboarding, access and permissions management, hardware requests, updates, and routine purchases
- Write, distribute, and enforce procedures
- Manage IT service providers on operational matters
- Organize work in short cycles, with visibility into workload and progress
- Regularly report progress, blockers, and next steps to management and subsidiaries
- Monitor and optimize ongoing IT costs
- Make occasional trips to sites in Carros, Stains, Mantes-la-Jolie, and Villebon-sur-Yvette, among others
- Work closely with Management and the internal IT Developer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or training in IT
- At least 3 years of experience in IT operations, support, or systems and network administration
- Hands-on proficiency with workstations, servers, networks, virtualization, and backups
- Experience managing an IT estate, including inventory, licenses, and lifecycle management
- Experience using a ticketing tool and managing user accounts and access permissions
- Solid knowledge of applied IT security principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Class B driving license for travel between sites
- Experience in a multi-site or multi-company environment (preferred, but not required)
- Experience in a structured organization with established processes (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of IT service management best practices, such as ITIL (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements in an IT context (preferred, but not required)
- Experience in an industrial or production environment (preferred, but not required)
