About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for the Group’s IT operations
- Manage the IT estate, networks, and infrastructure, including workstations, peripherals, licenses, servers, networks, and virtualization
- Build and maintain an inventory and map of the IT estate
- Manage the hardware lifecycle, including refreshes, decommissioning, and backup stock
- Monitor contracts, subscriptions, and licenses
- Diagnose TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DHCP, and VPN issues
- Provide first-line support for network equipment
- Operate and optimize the ticketing system, including qualification, prioritization, and service-level commitments
- Provide on-site user support across all locations
- Produce activity reports covering request volumes, request types, and recurring issues
- Operate backups and perform regular restoration tests
- Handle incidents through to closure and analyze the root causes of recurring incidents
- Apply patches and manage user accounts and access rights
- Maintain the record of processing activities, monitor data-retention periods, and handle data-subject rights requests
- Apply the Group’s IT policies and acceptable-use standards on a daily basis
- Document operational processes, including onboarding and offboarding, access and permissions, hardware requests, updates, and routine purchases
- Draft, distribute, and enforce procedures
- Manage IT service providers on operational matters
- Organize work in short cycles, with visibility into workload and progress
- Provide regular updates to management and subsidiaries on progress, blockers, and next steps
- Monitor and optimize ongoing IT costs
- Make occasional visits to the Carros, Stains, Mantes-la-Jolie, Villebon-sur-Yvette, and other sites
- Work closely with management and the internal IT developer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or formal training in IT
- At least 3 years of experience in IT operations, support, or systems and network administration
- Hands-on knowledge of workstations, servers, networks, virtualization, and backup systems
- Experience managing an IT estate, including inventory, licenses, and lifecycle management
- Experience using a ticketing system and managing accounts and access rights
- Strong working knowledge of applied IT security principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Category B driving license for travel between sites
- Experience in a multi-site or multi-company environment (preferred, not required)
- Experience in a structured organization with established processes (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of IT service management best practices, such as ITIL (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with GDPR requirements from an IT perspective (preferred, not required)
- Experience in an industrial or production environment (preferred, not required)
