About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee delivery of assigned internal and external projects through development, release, and live operations
  • Quickly get up to speed on existing projects and processes within an agreed time allocation
  • Collaborate with teams to create realistic and achievable project plans
  • Identify and proactively solve risks, blockers, and dependencies
  • Maintain clear and accurate project reporting for leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and client expectations
  • Build and maintain relationships across the business and with external partners
  • Represent the Production team positively within the studio and with clients
  • Document processes and decisions clearly for continuity on non-working days
  • Adjust focus as priorities evolve within the agreed scope
  • Use and explore AI-assisted workflows, pipelines, toolchains, and agentic AI to support development and production processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in game development production or project management within the agile framework
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver results on a part-time or contract basis
  • Hands-on experience with resource planning, sprint organisation, JIRA and risk mitigation
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus
  • Previous freelance, fractional or consulting experience is a plus
  • Understanding of the game development pipeline from concept to live
  • Ability to communicate with all game-related disciplines
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Apple App Store and Google Play Store release pipelines
  • Ability to work in an iterative and agile production process
  • Interest in video games and the game development process
  • Experience introducing or managing AI-assisted development workflows and agentic toolchains is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear written updates and handovers
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with a distributed team across time zones
  • Calm under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to navigate conflicts constructively and maintain team morale under pressure
  • Strong people leadership skills, with an understanding of how to motivate teams, recognise individual contributions and ensure people feel valued and supported
