About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Lead and manage the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies on legal, regulatory, and industry security requirements
  • Oversee incident response planning and investigate security breaches
  • Ensure timely incident resolution and reporting
  • Manage security budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
  • Provide security briefings and reports to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Monitor emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices
  • Enhance the organization’s security posture across United States operations
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives
  • Serve as the organization’s primary authority on security matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Top Secret with SCI/SAP eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in security management, including leadership roles
  • Certified/trained FSO or equivalent professional security certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM and Department of Defense/War security requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DODM5105.21, DODM5205.07, and ICD-705
  • Proven experience with personnel security clearance processes/procedures
  • Familiarity with DISS, SCINet, NISS, and JADE
  • Proven experience developing and implementing security policies and procedures
  • Experience in a defense contractor or government agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, cybersecurity principles, and risk management frameworks
  • Familiarity with relevant security and privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and via phone/video
  • Ability to participate in classified discussions in secure areas
  • Ability to move within a secure facility, including badge-controlled areas
  • Must be eligible under U.S. export control laws
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Preferred: CPP, CISSP, or similar certification
  • Preferred: CSSO or GSSO experience
  • Preferred: Experience managing security operations in a large, multi-site organization
  • Preferred: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex security projects
  • Preferred: Experience with surveillance systems, access control, and threat intelligence platforms
